The Extech PRC10 is a handheld current calibrator and meter designed for process device calibration and simulation. The palm-sized instrument features double-molded housing and a large dot-matrix digital backlit LCD for clear visibility in various working conditions. It includes a 24V DC power source for 2-wire current loop applications.

The PRC10 sources and measures 0-24mA (-25% to 125%) with 0.01% ±1 digit accuracy. Current measurement ranges include 0 to 19.99mA and 0 to 24.0mA. The 24V loop power capability makes it suitable for powering and testing 2-wire transmitters, with the ability to drive loads up to 1000Ω.

The instrument features up to five user-adjustable calibration presets for quick recall of frequently used values, streamlining calibration procedures. Standard banana I/O ports provide easy connection, and the large battery bank (six AA batteries) enables extended work cycles. An external power adapter is included for continuous bench operation.

Applications include calibration and simulation of transducers, transmitters, indicators, controllers, and recorders, as well as field test and service, and bench research and development. The complete package includes test leads, alligator clips, AC adapter with four plugs, six AA batteries, and hard carrying case.
