Product Description

The Time Electronics 5018 is a programmable voltage and current calibrator that can be configured as a dedicated single-function DC voltage source or as an advanced DC voltage and current calibrator. Primarily designed for production environments and R&D, the 5018 can be controlled via PC or laptop and programmed to perform tasks as part of a complex ATE test rig .

The 5018 provides DC voltage from 0 to 22V with 15 ppm accuracy, 0.5 ppm resolution, and 1999999 full scale plus 10% over-range. It includes deviation control from -9.999% to +9.999% for fine adjustment, and an internal ramping feature that can be set via PC with ramp rate per range, particularly useful in aviation and automotive industries for testing analogue gauges .

Front panel operation allows quick function and output selection using the jog/shuttle dial for fine adjustment. The deviation control can be set in percentage terms, providing direct read-out of error and simplifying specification verification. The instrument includes RS-232, USB, and GPIB interfaces for connectivity .

The 5018 can be connected to a PC and controlled by external programs such as EasyCal calibration software for automated testing and calibration management. This makes it suitable for integration into automated test systems requiring precise, programmable DC voltage and current sources .
