The CAS CAST-X 1000 circulation heater consists of a helically coiled tube cast into an aluminum body with tubular heating elements. The aluminum body blankets the elements and acts as the heat transfer media between the elements and the coiled tube circulating the heated fluid. This innovative cast construction provides multiple advantages over traditional circulation heaters.

The aluminum mass maintains heat accurately and consistently for optimal temperature control while efficiently conducting heat away from the tubular elements to prolong heater life. Process fluid circulates through the coiled tube instead of contacting the heating elements, eliminating hot spots caused by poor flow conditions. The unit can run dry with the thermostat without damage, reducing chances of heater failure and fluid leakage.

Power range is 700W to 3kW total with voltage options from 120-480V and maximum line current of 15A. Maximum pressure rating is 2100 psi (144 bar). Process temperature with thermostat is 250°F (121°C); without enclosure, temperatures up to 662°F (350°C) are achievable. The 316L stainless steel tubing measures 0.313" OD (5/16") with 0.020" wall and 137" overall length.

Enclosure options include NEMA 1 general-purpose and NEMA 4 moisture-resistant. Standard sensors include K or J type thermocouples and a snap-action high-limit thermostat. The self-draining, non-welded construction minimizes potential leakage and reduces material degradation from trapped fluid. The compact footprint saves space compared to traditional heat exchangers.

Typical applications include solvent heating, glycol heat transfer systems, analytical instrumentation, steam generation, paint heating, food and beverage processing, and general industrial fluid and gas heating.
