Product Description

The Dwyer ASG is a pocket-sized analog signal generator designed for troubleshooting transmitters, transducers, motors, and actuators. This compact instrument generates a 0-10 VDC signal in increments of 1 volt or a 4-20 mA signal in increments of 2 mA, providing simple and reliable signal injection for process testing and calibration.

The ASG features an LED bar graph that visually indicates the analog signal level, making it easy to monitor output even in dark or poorly lit areas. The unit will continuously ramp to user-defined maximum and minimum values with adjustable ramp interval timing from 2 to 20 seconds in 2-second increments, enabling automated testing of process devices over specified ranges.

Technical specifications include voltage output with 1000Ω minimum load impedance and current output with 300Ω maximum load impedance. The instrument operates from 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C) and is powered by a 9V alkaline battery (user-replaceable) or the included 120 VAC adapter. Auto power-off can be set from 2 to 20 minutes in 2-minute increments to conserve battery life (6-minute default).

The ASG comes complete with 6 ft (1.8 m) leads with alligator clips for electrical connections, a 120 VAC plug-in adapter, and instruction manual. Applications include transmitter calibration, process display configuration, and testing of control and monitoring circuits in industrial and manufacturing environments.
