Product Description
The E+E EE300Ex Humidity and Temperature Transmitter is specifically designed for measurement in explosive hazard areas. It complies with ATEX (Europe), IECEx (International), and FM (USA/Canada) classifications for both gas and dust applications. The entire transmitter can be placed in Zone 0 or 20 / Class I, II, III; Div. 1 hazardous areas, and with the remote sensing probe, a temperature classification up to T6 can be achieved.
The transmitter measures 0–100% RH and -40 to 180°C with outstanding accuracy. Its stainless steel housing and sensing probe, pressure-tight up to 300 bar, make it ideal for challenging industrial environments. A two-part construction simplifies installation and allows rapid replacement of the measuring section without time-consuming rewiring.
Based on 2-wire intrinsically safe technology, the EE300Ex can be powered by any intrinsically safe power source or via Zener barriers. Measured values are available on two 4–20mA analog outputs. In addition to humidity and temperature, the transmitter calculates dew point, frost point, absolute humidity, mixing ratio, and other psychrometric parameters. Applications include chemical process control, pharmaceutical manufacturing, explosive storage rooms, flour mills, and oil purifiers.
