Schmersal SLB 240 series safety light barrier is a compact, single-beam optoelectronic safety device with integrated evaluation electronics. It is designed to protect hazardous points and areas on machinery, particularly where space is limited. The device features a sturdy metal enclosure rated IP67, making it suitable for dusty or wet industrial environments. It offers a maximum operating range of 15 meters, with a Type 2 classification according to IEC 61496-1/2 and a performance level of PLc (EN ISO 13849-1).

The SLB 240 is available with an M12 connector or a pre-wired cable, and its compact dimensions allow for quick and easy mounting even in confined spaces.
