The Edgetech PPM1 is a trace moisture analyzer specifically designed for monitoring moisture levels in relatively clean, dry, inert gas applications. It employs a reliable Phosphorous Pentoxide (P2O5) electrochemical sensor in conjunction with a proprietary semi-permeable diffusion membrane. The principle of operation is based on Faraday's Law of Electrolysis, where the current required to dissociate the absorbed water is directly proportional to the moisture concentration, making it a fundamental measurement .

The analyzer provides a clear, 2-line display that shows both the moisture reading in ppm and the equivalent dew point temperature. It offers two user-scalable 4-20mA analog outputs and bi-directional RS232 communications for flexible integration with external systems. Two user-adjustable dry alarm relays provide configurable alerts for high or low moisture conditions.

Housed in an IP65 enclosure, the PPM1 features a 316 stainless steel flow-through sample chamber with 1/4" compression fittings and comes with 6 feet of sensor cable. With its fundamental measurement technique, wide measurement range from 0.1 to 1250 ppmv, and fast response, the PPM1 is well-suited for quality control in gas supply, monitoring transformer gas in electric power, and applications in the pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries .
