The CAS CAST-X 2000 circulation heater is an ideal heating solution for demanding applications requiring high pressure and temperature capability. The heater consists of a helical coiled tube cast into an aluminum body with tubular heating elements, with the aluminum serving as the heat transfer media between the elements and the fluid tube .

Technical specifications include power from 1 kW to 6 kW, voltage range 120-480V, and maximum pressure up to 5100 psi (351 bar) from the product catalog. The 316L stainless steel tubing is 0.500" OD with 0.065" wall and 150" overall length .

The unique construction allows use with thermally sensitive materials such as paints, resins, and flammable materials like fuels and solvents because the heated fluid never contacts the heating elements. The aluminum mass acts as a "thermal flywheel" ensuring accurate temperature control to prevent fluid degradation .

Maximum process temperature is 482°F (250°C) with standard enclosures, or 662°F (350°C) with standoff housing option. Enclosure options include NEMA 1 (general-purpose), NEMA 4 (moisture-resistant), NEMA 7 (explosion-proof), and ATEX certified for hazardous locations .

Standard sensors include K or J type thermocouples and a snap-action high-limit thermostat. The self-draining, non-welded design minimizes potential leakage and reduces fluid degradation from trapped material. An optional explosion-proof enclosure is available for flammable environments .

Applications include compressor condensate evaporation, semiconductor solvent applications, DI water heating, fuel and oil pre-heating, nitrogen gas heating, and two-part urethane and foam systems .
