The KROHNE OPTISONIC 3400 is a high-performance, 3-beam inline ultrasonic flow meter designed for measuring homogeneous conductive and non-conductive liquids with exceptional accuracy and reproducibility over a long service life . It features advanced meter diagnostics that provide extensive self-checking of internal circuits and information about the health of the measuring sensor, as well as vital insights into process conditions, all in accordance with NAMUR NE107 .

A unique feature is the free-of-charge measurement of the velocity of sound per acoustic path, which can supply valuable information about pollution in the liquid or changes in process conditions . The meter has no moving parts and features a full-bore, unobstructed sensor, ensuring no pressure drop and minimal maintenance. It covers a broad nominal diameter range from DN 25 to 600 (1" to 24"), with larger sizes available upon request .

The OPTISONIC 3400 is suitable for a wide array of applications, including cryogenic and high-temperature processes, low and extreme high-pressure ranges, and measurements of both aqueous liquids and highly viscous oils . It offers a high turndown ratio, making it ideal for transportation pipeline measurements and allocation tasks in on/off loading. The advanced signal converter includes a full range of I/Os and communication protocols, ensuring seamless integration into various industrial systems .
