The ZF D series is a standard miniature snap-action switch designed for reliable switching in a variety of industrial applications. With its self-cleaning wiping contact mechanism, the D series ensures long-term contact stability and excellent reliability, even under low actuation speeds. The switch features a compact design, high repeat accuracy, and a wide range of auxiliary actuators and terminal types for versatile installation.

Key features include a self-cleaning contact system that maintains low and stable contact resistance, a contact gap greater than 3 mm (safe isolation), and a wide current rating from 0.1 A up to 21 A depending on the model. The series offers both SPST (single-pole single-throw) and SPDT (single-pole double-throw) contact configurations, with normally open (NO), normally closed (NC), and changeover contact variants. The switch is approved according to EN 61058-1 and UL 1054, and meets the requirements for use in appliances and industrial equipment.

Technical specifications for the D3 version (10 A) include: maximum switching current 10 A at 250 V AC, mechanical life of 1,000,000 operations, and electrical life of 50,000 switching cycles at full load. The total travel is 2.6 mm without auxiliary actuator. The housing and cover are made of PET (UL 94V-0), the actuator is POM, and the contacts are silver-nickel (AgNi). Terminals are copper or copper-zinc (Cu/CuZn), with optional stainless steel auxiliary actuators. Ambient temperature rating is 40T85, with PTI 250 (proof tracking index). The switch is rated IP40.
