The W12 series AC motor from WEG was developed to offer versatility and efficiency for industrial applications. With flanges, feet, terminal boxes and terminal box covers made of high resistance industrial polymer combined with a non-machined aluminum frame, this motor achieves the lowest weight in its class for robust applications, opening up new possibilities for machine design and installation. The aluminum frame is specifically designed to optimize heat exchange and provide the mechanical strength required for the most demanding applications.

The motor's design reduces accumulation of liquids and dust on the surface, contributing to longer service life in harsh environments. The frame incorporates precision guides that ensure accuracy and rigidity after mounting feet or flanges, maintaining alignment under operating conditions. The W12 series also features a snap-fit quick coupling system for securing the connection box cover, deflector cover and feet, simplifying assembly and maintenance.

Available with 2, 4 or 6 poles, the W12 series covers a power range from 0.09 kW up to 4 kW, with both three-phase and single-phase options. The motor meets IE3 efficiency standards for the 0.09-0.55 kW range, delivering energy savings and reduced operating costs. It operates at voltages including 220 V, 230/400 V, and 220/380 V at 50/60 Hz, with protection ratings of IP55 or IP54. The housing is designed for wall mounting and includes features such as a non-machined aluminum frame, high-strength polymer components, and a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) construction. Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to +40°C, with torque up to 13.5 Nm and rotational speeds up to 2,910 rpm.
