The KROHNE WATERFLUX 3070 Electromagnetic Flow Meter features a unique construction with a rectangular and reduced cross section and efficient coil design. This provides a stronger and more homogeneous magnetic field, leading to improved signal-to-noise ratio. The measurement is independent of flow profile and very stable, resulting in excellent low flow performance .

Because the mean flow velocity and flow profile are optimized within the rectangular reduced cross section, the additional uncertainty for upstream disturbances is drastically reduced. The meter can be installed directly behind an elbow or reducer without straight inlet or outlet lengths, allowing for smaller measurement pits .

The Rilsan coating of the flow sensor is chemically resistant, durable, maintenance-free, flexible, tough, smooth, pore-free, and free of solvents. It is widely used in the water industry and has received a wide range of drinking water certifications including ACS, DVGW, NSF, TZW, and WRAS .

The WATERFLUX 3070 is designed to work with the IFC 070 signal converter, a battery-powered unit ideal for remote installations. Features include bi-directional flow measurement, no grounding rings needed (reference electrode included), and suitability for subsoil installation and constant flooding (IP68). The meter complies with custody transfer requirements including MID MI-001, ISO 4064, and EN 14154 .
