Product Description

The E+H Smartec CLD134 is an inductive conductivity measuring system specifically designed for hygienic applications in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. Its jointless, crevice-free virgin PEEK body is FDA certified and complies with USP Class VI, EHEDG, and 3A standards, ensuring no risk of recontamination in sanitary processes.

The sensor operates on the inductive measuring principle, making it unaffected by electrode contamination or polarization. It covers a wide measurement range from 100 µS/cm to 2000 mS/cm with a cell constant of k = 6.3 cm⁻¹. An integrated Pt1000 temperature sensor provides a response time (t90) of less than 26 seconds, enabling safe and efficient phase separations. The system is suitable for cleaning-in-place (CIP) and sterilization-in-place (SIP), with continuous process temperature up to 125°C and sterilization capability up to 150°C for 60 minutes. Pressure rating is 12 bar up to 90°C.

A wide variety of process connections are available including dairy pipe, aseptic fittings, Clamp ISO 2852, SMS-2in, Varivent N DN 40-125, and Neumo Biocontrol D50. The transmitter housing is stainless steel with IP67 protection. Communication options include 4-20 mA, HART, PROFIBUS DP/PA, and configuration via keys, HART terminal, or FieldCare software. The system is available in both compact and remote versions.

Key applications include phase separation of product/water and product/product mixtures, control of CIP return line processes, concentration control of CIP cleaning agents, product monitoring in pipes and bottling plants, and leakage monitoring.
