The Draeger X-am 5000 is a personal multi-gas detector for 1 to 5 gases, designed for monitoring combustible gases, oxygen, toxic gases, organic vapors, odorant, and amine. It features durable XXS sensor technology, IR sensors with up to 8-year life, and a catalytic Ex sensor with high resistance to poisons (silicone, H2S) and a >4-year lifespan.

The X-am 5000 has a practical mobile phone design, two-button control, and easy-to-follow menu. It is water and dust resistant (IP67) and remains functional after being dropped into water. The unit offers flexible power options (alkaline batteries or T4 rechargeable battery) and a Save Energy Mode that extends operating time to over 40 hours. It is compatible with the X-dock automatic test and calibration station, and supports fresh air, mixed gas, and single gas calibrations directly from the menu.
