The DH‑Budenberg CPB5800 is a high-precision, primary standard hydraulic deadweight tester designed for laboratory calibration of a wide range of pressure instruments, including transmitters, transducers, and mechanical gauges. It boasts an exceptional accuracy of 0.006% of reading, making it one of the most accurate instruments of its kind.
The instrument operates on a purely mechanical principle, deriving pressure from the fundamental equation p = F/A, and requires no electrical power. Pressure is generated and finely adjusted via an integrated, precision spindle pump. The pump features a unique design where the threaded spindle moves within the pump body, ensuring no cantilever forces or changes in the instrument's footprint during operation. Once equilibrium is reached, the pressure remains stable for several minutes, allowing for accurate and relaxed calibration of the device under test.
