The Amprobe 38XR-A True RMS auto-ranging multimeter with optical PC interface is designed for engineers troubleshooting industrial automation and control systems. Its 4-3/4 digit LCD with 41-segment analog bar graph provides high resolution and accuracy.

Measurement capabilities include AC voltage to 750V, DC voltage to 1000V, AC/DC current to 10A, resistance to 40MΩ, temperature to 2372°F, capacitance to 400μF, and frequency to 10MHz. Specialized functions include duty cycle, dBm, and a 4–20mA loop current test. Min/Max, Average, Relative, Peak, and Data Hold functions aid analysis.

An RS232 IR communication port enables data download to a PC using the optional 38SW-A Accessory Kit. Safety rated CAT IV 600V, the meter includes input lead warning, auto power off, and a separate battery/fuse access door.
