The Optris CTlaser F2 infrared temperature sensor measures CO2 flame gas from 392 to 2912°F for evaluating combustion processes, garbage incineration, and processes inside chemical reactors. It features dual laser technology to accurately mark the location at sizes as small as 0.06 inches from any distance. It can function in ambient temperatures up to 185°F without additional cooling .

Two models are available: the F2 covers 392 to 2642°F, and the F2H covers 752 to 2912°F. Both have a 4.24µm spectral range, 45:1 optical resolution, and 10ms response time. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.1 to 1.1 .

Selectable analog outputs and multiple digital interfaces offer high variability. Field selectable analog output options include 0/4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, type K or J thermocouples, and alarm. The sensor features peak hold, valley hold, average, and an extended hold function with threshold and hysteresis, all field configurable with the USB programming kit (ACCTUSBK) .

Optional plug-in interfaces include USB, RS485, RS232, 2 optically isolated relay outputs, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, and Ethernet. The sensor operates on 8-36 VDC power supply with 160mA max current draw and is IP65 NEMA-4 front mountable, suitable for vacuum processes up to 10–3mbar.
