The Telaire Ventostat CO2 sensor is a commercial-grade instrument designed for Demand Controlled Ventilation (DCV) in buildings. Using CO2 levels as an occupancy indicator, it enables ventilation based on actual occupancy while maintaining ASHRAE recommended per-person ventilation rates, reducing over-ventilation and saving energy costs.

The sensor employs non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) absorption technology for high accuracy in a compact, low-cost package. Telaire's patented ABC Logic self-calibration system eliminates manual calibration in most applications, making the units nearly maintenance-free. Each unit includes a built-in temperature sensor and a night setback override button that shorts the thermistor output when depressed, allowing local override of building automation controls.

The Ventostat features a mounting plate with two-piece terminal blocks for quick, easy wiring. A gas permeable, water-resistant CO2 diffusion filter prevents particulate and water contamination. A locking screw secures the cover and sensor to the mounting bracket for tamper resistance. Dual simultaneous analog outputs (voltage and current) are available for CO2. An optional slide potentiometer provides 0-100kΩ adjustment range with center stop at 50kΩ.

Typical applications include office buildings, conference rooms, schools, retail spaces, restaurants, gymnasiums, and movie theaters. The sensor is CE and RoHS compliant and ships factory calibrated.
