Product Description
The Extech CG304 thickness tester offers a non-destructive way of measuring the thickness of ferrous and non-ferrous substrates with auto recognition of the material being measured. It uses dual technology: magnetic induction for ferrous substrates and eddy current measurement for non-ferrous substrates. The CG304 is ideal for applications such as measuring automotive paint thickness to determine if a car has been in an accident; quality inspection and monitoring of anodizing or galvanizing processes; as well as others in machine tools manufacturing, pipeline industry, aeronautical industry, and paint manufacturing/inspection/contracting.
The measuring range is 0 to 2000 μm with accuracy of ±(2% + 2μm) from 0 to 1000 μm and ±3.5% accuracy from 1000 to 2000 μm. Results are displayed on a special LCD with backlight and contrast for easy viewing in various lighting conditions. An internal memory holds up to 2500 readings, organized in 50 groups of 50 readings each.
Data can be transmitted wirelessly to a PC via a unique Bluetooth interface for further analysis and to generate documented reports. The easy-to-use menu system and zero-point calibration function make operation simple. The CG304 comes with software for data transfer and reporting.
