The Honeywell Sensepoint XCD is a fixed gas detector designed to monitor areas where flammable gases, toxic gases, and oxygen deficiency may pose hazards to working environments. It offers high performance and reliability for a broad spectrum of industrial applications. All detectors are supplied pre-configured and are available with three different transmitter types to support different sensor families: mV (for catalytic and IR sensors), EC (for electrochemical toxic gas sensors), and a dedicated oxygen transmitter.

A key feature is the large tri-color backlit LCD, which provides an instantly recognizable status indication: steady green for normal operation, flashing yellow for fault, and flashing red for alarm. This allows personnel to clearly see the status of any detector from a distance. The XCD supports plug-in sensors that are easily replaced. A transmitter can auto-recognize any sensor from within its sensor family; the sensor simply plugs into the bottom of the transmitter, and the unit automatically configures itself accordingly.

The Sensepoint XCD includes two programmable alarm relays and one programmable fault relay, along with a standard 4-20mA output. MODBUS communication is available as an option. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor usage and can detect a wide range of gases, including flammable hydrocarbons (via catalytic or IR sensors), CO2, CO, H2S, NO2, H2, and oxygen deficiency.
