The Extech SDL800 is a versatile vibration meter and data logger designed for plant maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting of rotating machinery such as motors, fans, pumps, and bearings . It measures acceleration, velocity, and displacement, and displays the readings on a large backlit LCD .

A key feature of the SDL800 is its standalone datalogging capability. It can record measurements directly to an SD card with a user-selectable sampling rate from 1 to 3600 seconds . The readings are date- and time-stamped and saved in Excel format, allowing for easy transfer to a PC for trend analysis and reporting without the need for special software .
