The Ashcroft C-600A-02 Duratemp is a panel-mounted gas-actuated thermometer engineered for applications requiring maximum durability and resistance to shock and vibration. Its movementless design contains no gears to wear or misalign, eliminating mechanical failure points and significantly increasing instrument life.

The thermometer provides ±1% full-span accuracy in compliance with ASME B40.3 standards. Unlike conventional systems, the gas-actuated mechanism introduces no head or elevation error due to bulb position, ensuring accurate temperature transmission regardless of mounting orientation. The Maxivision® dial places the pointer on the same plane as the graduations, completely eliminating parallax for reliable reading from any angle.

The C-600A-02 features an epoxy-coated aluminum case with hinged ring design, allowing easy glass replacement and pointer adjustment without special tools. Available in 4.5-inch, 6-inch, and 8.5-inch case sizes, it accommodates a wide selection of temperature ranges from -320°F to 1200°F with 125% overrange protection.

The 316 stainless steel bulb measures 3 inches long by 3/8 inch O.D., connected via 5 to 80 feet of capillary tubing with standard AISI 302 stainless steel spring armor. Optional armor includes interlock 303 SS and PVC coated. Multiple bulb styles are available:

• B01: 12" bendable extension with 1/2" NPT union connection
• B03: Plain bulb with rigid extension, no union
• B08: Plain bulb with rigid extension, 1/2" NPT union on armor (not pressure-tight, thermowell recommended)
• B17: 18" bendable extension with 1/2" NPT union connection
• B18: 24" bendable extension with 1/2" NPT union connection

Typically installed with a thermowell, the Duratemp is ideal for high-vibration environments such as compressors, pumps, and equipment skids, as well as extreme temperature applications. The panel mount design allows flush installation for clean, professional appearance in control panels.
