The Waygate Technologies XL Detect and XL Detect+ are ultra-portable industrial videoscopes designed for reliable remote visual inspection in demanding environments. Combining lightweight construction with military-grade durability, these systems deliver sharp image quality and intuitive operation for a wide range of applications.

Both models feature titanium-housed color SUPER HAD™ CCD cameras available in 4.0mm, 6.1mm, and 8.4mm diameters. The 4.0mm probe provides 290,000 pixels, while 6.1mm and 8.4mm probes deliver 440,000 pixels for enhanced detail. Probe lengths range from 2.0m to 10.0m with articulation up to 160° in all directions.

The XL Detect features a 3.7-inch transflective VGA color display ideal for bright outdoor conditions, while the XL Detect+ offers a 5.0-inch transmissive display with 85% larger viewing area for improved visibility and reduced eye strain during extended inspections. Both displays provide 640×480 resolution.

Internal memory differs between models: the XL Detect includes 4GB flash storage, while the XL Detect+ provides 16GB for extended image and video capture. Menu Directed Inspection (MDI) 2.0 software guides users through inspection workflows, automatically tagging images and organizing results for simplified reporting.

Built to withstand harsh industrial environments, both systems meet MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F standards, surviving 4-foot drops, vibration, high humidity, dust, and salt fog. The XL Detect is IP55 rated, while the XL Detect+ achieves IP65 protection. Probe tips are waterproof to 10.2m depth (1 bar).

System weights are 1.73 kg for XL Detect and 1.98 kg for XL Detect+, with dimensions of 9.53 × 13.34 × 34.29 cm. Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries provide up to 4 hours of continuous operation. Dual USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, and 2.5mm headphone jack expand connectivity options.

Applications include aerospace engine inspections, power generation turbine maintenance, oil and gas facility checks, pharmaceutical weld verification, and general industrial manufacturing quality control.
