The Fluke 729 Automatic Pressure Calibrator is designed to simplify the pressure calibration process for process technicians. It features an internal electric pump that provides automatic pressure generation and regulation, eliminating the need for manual pumping. Users simply enter target pressures, and the calibrator automatically pumps and stabilizes at the desired set-point, saving significant time and effort .

The 729 automates multi-point calibration by allowing technicians to input starting and ending pressures, the number of test points, and the tolerance level. The calibrator then automatically applies the pressure, documents the mA measurement and percentage error for each point, and clearly indicates out-of-tolerance results on the bright dual-channel/three-channel color graphical display. An internal fine pressure adjustment automatically compensates for minor leaks in hoses and test setups .

Built-in HART communication enables HART transmitter mA adjustments, output trimming, pressure zero adjustment, and light configuration tasks such as changing a transmitter tag, measurement units, and ranging. Supported HART instructions include setting fixed mA output for troubleshooting, reading device configuration parameters, and reading device diagnostic data. The calibrator measures, sources, and simulates 4-20 mA signals with 0.01% FS ± 2 LSD accuracy .

The 729 is available in three pressure ranges up to 300 psi (20 bar) and features a rugged, IP54-rated design that is 1-meter drop tested for field use. It includes built-in leak testing to verify test setup integrity, measures temperature with optional 720RTD probe, and is compatible with 700 series and 700P series pressure modules for expanded range capability.
