The Time Electronics 1040 is a precision wide range resistance decade box designed to meet the requirements of both industry and education. Compact and durable, it is housed in a robust metal case with a removable protective rubber cover, making it ideal for both laboratory and field use.

High stability metal film resistors achieve excellent accuracy of up to ±0.1% at mid-scale. An 8-digit thumbwheel switch enables simple and precise setting with clear indication of the resistance value. The 1040 offers increment steps of 1Ω over a range of 1Ω to 100MΩ.

A multiple gold contact arrangement ensures low contact resistance and continued operation even if a contact fails. Color-coded digits (red for megohms, yellow for kilohms, white for ohms) make selecting and reading settings easy. Safety terminals are compatible with 4mm shrouded plugs, standard plugs, bare wires, and spade terminals.
