Product Description
The Isotech Quick Cal Blackbody and Greybody 975 are cost-effective portable infrared calibrators designed for applications where ultra-high precision is not required. Both provide practical solutions for routine verification and testing of infrared thermometers in field and laboratory environments.
The Quick Cal Blackbody is ideal for rapid portable checking, available in two temperature versions: low range -12°C to 140°C for medical, sterilization, and food industry applications, or high range 30°C to 350°C for general purpose use. The low-temperature model can operate from a 12V battery, offering true portability. Both reach temperature in just 9 minutes.
The Greybody Model 975 features a larger target area with emissivity >0.95, operating from 50°C to 350°C. It delivers stability of ±0.5°C, accuracy of ±2°C, and display resolution of 0.1°C. The larger sensing area accommodates a wider range of infrared thermometer optics.
Both models utilize a custom-designed surface sensor positioned just beneath the target to control source temperature. Each unit includes a traceable calibration certificate and can be programmed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit operation.
Applications include rapid field checking of infrared thermometers, HVAC maintenance, food safety temperature verification, and general industrial spot-checking where the precision of primary blackbody sources is not essential.
