Product Description
The Wilcoxon 728 series is a compact, high sensitivity IEPE accelerometer engineered for precise measurement of low-level vibrations in industrial applications. With a sensitivity of 500 mV/g (±5%), it delivers excellent signal-to-noise ratio for early detection of machinery faults, making it ideal for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring programs.
The series offers two distinct grounding configurations to suit different installation requirements. The 728A model features case grounding and a side-mounted 10-32 coaxial connector, providing a low-impedance path to ground for noise reduction. The 728T model offers base isolation with a top-mounted connector, electrically isolating the sensor from the mounting surface to prevent ground loops. Both models include an R1 mating connector and an SF1 mounting stud for quick and secure installation.
Constructed with stainless steel, the 728 series accelerometers are built to withstand harsh industrial environments. Key performance specifications include a measurement range of 15 g peak, wide frequency response from 1 Hz to 10 kHz (±3 dB), and a resonance frequency of 24 kHz. The sensors are rated for vibration levels up to 250 g peak and shock levels up to 2,500 g peak, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding conditions.
