Product Description
The Fluke 500 series battery analyzers are professional-grade instruments designed for comprehensive testing of stationary batteries in critical applications such as data centers, telecom, and industrial backup power systems. Covering a broad range of battery test functions—from DC voltage and internal resistance to full condition assessment—these analyzers deliver the data needed to ensure reliability and prevent unexpected failures.
Three models are available: the BT510 (core functionality), BT520 (adds advanced features), and BT521 (adds 1000V DC capability and more). All models measure resistance up to 3000 mΩ, AC/DC voltage, and frequency. The BT521 includes AC voltage ripple testing up to 6000 mV.
The analyzers feature multiple operating modes: Meter Mode for quick spot checks with time-stamped records, Sequence Mode for managing up to 100 test profiles (each storing up to 450 batteries), and Discharge Mode for capturing battery voltage at user-defined intervals during load tests to calculate capacity loss. All measured values are automatically captured and can be reviewed on the instrument before download.
Users can configure up to 10 sets of thresholds, receiving Pass/Warning/Fail indications instantly. A 7.4V Li-ion battery provides 8 hours of continuous operation, and the instruments are CAT III 600V safety rated.
Typical applications include:
- Stationary battery maintenance in UPS systems
- Telecom and data center backup power testing
- Capacity loss assessment during discharge testing
- Automated routine testing with sequence mode
