The Amprobe BAT-500 is a professional battery capacity tester designed for comprehensive testing of batteries up to 500 Ah. It simultaneously measures impedance and voltage without taking batteries offline, enabling quick assessment of battery health in UPS systems, telecom plants, and industrial backup power applications.

The BAT-500 supports a wide range of battery chemistries, including alkaline, NiMH, NiCd, Li-ion, and lead-acid. Four impedance ranges (40 mΩ to 40 Ω) with resolution down to 10 µΩ, and two voltage ranges (4V and 40V) provide versatility across different battery types and sizes. Accuracy is ±1% for impedance and ±0.1% for voltage.

A built-in comparator function allows users to set thresholds and receive instant Pass, Warning, or Fail indications, streamlining go/no-go testing. The internal memory stores up to 500 data sets, which can be downloaded via the included RS232 interface and software for trending, life cycle analysis, and reporting.

The BAT-500 ships complete with test probe, software, RS232 cable, manual, and batteries.
