Product Description
The WIKA CTI5000 is a portable infrared calibrator designed for testing and calibration of non-contact temperature measuring instruments across a range of 50°C to 500°C. Its combination of stability and portability makes it particularly suitable for calibrating handheld infrared thermometers in both laboratory and field environments.
The blackbody target features a 57 mm diameter measuring surface with fixed emissivity of 0.95, accommodating a wide variety of infrared thermometers regardless of lens configuration. Temperature can be set in 0.1°C increments, with stability maintained at ±0.1°C up to 100°C, ±0.2°C up to 350°C, and ±0.4°C at 500°C. Heating time from ambient to 500°C is approximately 30 minutes, with cooling from 500°C to 100°C taking 40 minutes.
A key feature is the reference sensor bore located directly behind the target surface, allowing users to insert a contact reference thermometer for quality monitoring and verification of the blackbody temperature. This enables traceable calibration and ensures measurement confidence.
The CTI5000 is compact and lightweight, designed for easy transport and on-site use. Simple operation and clear controls make it accessible for technicians requiring reliable infrared calibration without complex setup procedures. Typical applications include calibration workshops, quality assurance laboratories, and field service operations requiring portable temperature reference sources.
