Product Description
The Aventics 650 series air preparation units are engineered to deliver reliable filtration, regulation, and lubrication (FRL) for compressed air and inert gas systems, even in the most demanding environments. With an optional extended temperature range of -40°F to 176°F (-40°C to 80°C), these units are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, including those exposed to extreme cold or heat.
The series includes three models—651, 652, and 653—each offering different port and piping sizes to match system requirements. A key design feature is the manifold endplate flange, which allows the manifold assembly to be removed for service without disconnecting the piping, minimizing downtime. All units feature front-facing, low-profile gauges for easy readability and serviceability, with optional gauge shut-off isolation and slow-start/quick exhaust valves.
Filtration is provided by sintered polyethylene elements with centrifugal separation, available in 5, 25, and 40 micron ratings to effectively remove particulate and water droplets. Bowl options include polycarbonate or aluminum with a selection of sight gauge materials. Drain choices include a two-position plastic drain with manual and semi-automatic functions, as well as automatic (brass) and manual (stainless steel) styles.
The 650 series offers flexibility with optional accessories such as a pressure regulator with reverse flow check, which permits placement between the valve and cylinder without risk of damage, and integrated pressure range indicators with red/green color bands for easy visual setup. Threaded ports support both individual and modular mounting, and the units meet ISO 8573-1:2010 air purity standards.
