Product Description
The Fluke 4180/4181 Series precision infrared calibrators are designed for calibrating infrared thermometers and thermal imagers. The 4180 covers -15°C to 120°C while the 4181 covers 35°C to 500°C, providing solutions for a wide range of IR temperature measurement devices.
The 152 mm (6-inch) target accommodates the field-of-view requirements of most common infrared thermometers that cannot be accurately tested with smaller targets. Uniformity across the target ensures that variations cannot be detected with a thermal imager at the proper calibration distance.
With accuracy as good as ±0.35°C, the 4180/4181 Series meets its specifications without additional emissivity-related corrections, achieving test uncertainty ratios (TUR) of 4:1. The target has a nominal emissivity of 0.95 and is radiometrically calibrated to minimize emissivity-related uncertainties.
The LCD display continuously shows current temperature and includes a safety feature indicating when the target exceeds 50°C. The indicator remains illuminated when powered and above 50°C, and flashes after power removal until the target cools below 50°C.
Heating time for the 4181 is 45 minutes to 500°C, with stabilization in 10 minutes. The unit includes RS-232 interface and comes with an NVLAP-accredited radiometric calibration report, target cover, user guide, and serial cable.
