The Fluke-Hart Scientific 1551A and 1552A "Stik" thermometers are highly precise, durable digital replacements for traditional mercury-in-glass thermometers. They are intrinsically safe (ATEX and IECEx compliant), allowing safe use in potentially explosive gas environments. The stainless steel probe and digital readout are integrated and calibrated as a system, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Two models are available: the 1551A features a robust thin-film RTD sensor with a range of –50 to 160°C, primarily targeting the petroleum industry. The 1552A utilizes a wire-wound PRT sensor with a range of –80 to 300°C, designed for pharmaceutical applications. Both models achieve exceptional accuracy of ±0.05°C over their entire range.

A user-configurable stability/trend indicator lets operators know when the temperature is stable enough to record an accurate measurement. A user-settable auto-off function extends battery life to 300 hours, while a low-battery indicator and stop-measure function prevent erroneous measurements due to low power. A simple three-point calibration function allows easy field calibration. Optional data logging stores up to 10,000 readings internally. The large backlit LCD display rotates 90 degrees for easy viewing from any angle.
